Zak Asplin reposts Wilders’s request for a picture of “gay #Muhammed”
@zakasplin RT @geertwilderspvv: “I asked @grok to me make a picture of a gay #Muhammed because #ChatGPT refuses to do so - while they DO make a picture of a gay Jezus in a minute if you ask them to. Artificial Intelligence for ChatGPT is political correct weakness and dhimmitude. Applause for Grok!”View individual post
Zak Asplin reposted a Geert Wilders caption about requesting an image from Grok. The accompanying image depicts two bearded men in turbans kissing, with rainbow-colored clothing. Wilders’s caption compares Grok and ChatGPT and uses the term “dhimmitude.”
Zak Asplin’s Somali “New Mainers” post shares a racist “Two Buttons” edit
@zakasplin: “To those living in Maine like me, pay attention to how many of Mills Somali ‘New Mainers’ might treat America as they do Britain...”View individual post
Zak Asplin shared a Tommy Robinson post about Somalis in Britain and warned that Somali “New Mainers” might treat America similarly. The embedded image alters Jake Clark’s “Two Buttons” comic. It retains the red shirt, white glove, cloth, and forehead-wiping pose, but replaces the original light-skinned man’s anxious face with an anti-Black caricature: an enormously enlarged forehead, hollow cheeks, half-closed eyes ringed by dark shadows, an elongated nose, exaggerated protruding lips, and two prominent yellow front teeth. The buttons read “Learning” and “Learing.” The latter echoes the misspelled sign at Quality Learning Center, a Minneapolis childcare center highlighted in Nick Shirley’s December 2025 video alleging fraud at Somali-run childcare facilities. That reference places the image in a controversy over childcare services and funding for children and families. The edit combines ridicule of the center’s sign with a demeaning portrayal of Somali intelligence, then carries that racial generalization into Asplin’s warning about Somali immigrants in Maine. Its distorted Black facial features and intellectual ridicule echo minstrel caricature.
Zak Asplin denies that Islamophobia is irrational or prejudiced, presenting hostility toward Islam as justified. Read alongside his calls to exclude every Muslim, the statement rationalizes the anti-Muslim exclusion expressed elsewhere in this archive.
Zak Asplin claims Islam and associated cultures cannot assimilate in the US or much of Europe
“It’s clear Islam, and its associated cultures, cannot successfully assimilate into the US or much of Europe.”
Zak Asplin portrays Islam and its associated cultures as categorically unable to assimilate into the United States or much of Europe. The sweeping claim treats diverse cultures as a single incompatible bloc and offers no supporting evidence in the quoted text.
@mainecrs: “Thank you to Senator @sensusancollins’ wonderful team, and amazing Press Secretary, for hosting our Maine CR Chairman, Zak, at the Capitol today. We had a great discussion about how Maine College Republicans can assist the great work the Senator is doing, and promote College Republicans in Maine.”
